Ok. This was our main reason for going to Nova Scotia, but it will likely be a great detour for others. This island has an amazing history of treasure hunting. I highly recommend watching episodes of The Curse of Oak Island before going if you haven’t. If you recognize Jack Begley from the show, you might be a superfan! We were obviously excited! Both were incredibly nice.
WHERE:
Half-hour or so just outside of the town of Glencoe.
WHAT:
While driving in Glencoe (which is amazing), don't miss a detour here. Watch the mountain bikers came zooming down the mountain or take a ride up the chairlift to see some unreal views. The waterfalls coming down are gorgeous.
WHY I FOUND IT:
Honestly, we were just ready to be out of the car for a bit. It ended up being one of our favorite memories.
WOULD I DO IT AGAIN?
Absolutely.
